Misalnya nih ada teman ngasi tahu sebuah rahasia. Kamu janji tidak akan cerita-cerita ke orang lain (A friend tells you a secret. You promise not to reveal to anyone). Ini yang bisa kamu katakan:
Formal :
- I give you my word of honour
- My word is my bond
Umum :
- I promise, I won’t (will not) say a word
Informal :
- My lips are sealed
- Your secret is safe with me;
- They won’t hear it from me
Contoh Percakapannya dalam informal situation:
Aldo : What's happened, bro? You look so sad.
Fiki : hh my girl just broke up with me this morning.
Aldo : oh, sorry, bro. I know how much you love her.
Fiki : hum. Ah wait, but don't tell anyone. It's a shame for me. Just keep it for both of us
Aldo : Ok bro, Your secret is safe with me.
